Among Children is a series of paintings, prints and drawings based on observations from more than 30 years of working – and a lifetime of living – among children. As a teacher, I've spent a lot of time with children, and I often find myself thinking there is so much we ‘grown-ups’ can learn from them. Children go about their days, always in the moment, thinking neither ahead nor behind. So often they are experiencing things for the first time. Everything is new. These works capture those ‘in-the-moment’ moments. I continue to add to this body of work. My most recent additions were exhibited in a solo show at the Great Neck Public Library in June 2026.
